01. What this notice covers
This notice describes information handled by the robot works website, operated by The Robot Works, Inc. It covers the contact form, the newsletter signup, records from the former Foster a Goose beta-interest form, and the private team dashboard.
It does not cover data collection by a future Goose robot, home trial, or mobile application. Those experiences would come with their own information and participation arrangements before anything begins.
02. Information the website handles
- Contact messages. Your name (optional), phone number (optional), email address, message, and the time you sent it.
- Newsletter signup. Your email address, signup time, and any campaign tags described below, kept once per address.
- Campaign tags. If the link that brought you here carries advertising tags (utm_source, medium, campaign, term, content, or id), the website remembers them for your browsing session and saves them with a contact message you send or a newsletter signup, so we know which campaign brought you to us.
- Visit counts. Anonymous page views, page-load timings, and completed forms, described under Cookies and similar technologies.
- Previous beta interest. The former form collected an email address, permission for beta contact, and submission time. A name and introduction were optional.
- Review records. A submission identifier, review status, and notes added by authorized team members.
- Abuse prevention. When a form is submitted, the website uses an IP-derived identifier, a time window, and a request count to limit repeated attempts. Raw IP addresses are not stored with your submission.
- Team administration. The sign-in service supplies an administrator’s user identifier, email address, and, when available, name to check authorization.
- Website delivery. Hosting and security providers may process connection information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to deliver and protect the site.
The forms do not request payment details or file uploads. Please avoid including sensitive information or private details about other people in a message.
03. How information is used
Contact messages go to a private team dashboard so the team can read your note and reply. Newsletter addresses are used to send the articles, tips, and offers you signed up for, and nothing else. Campaign tags help us understand which outreach brought you here.
Beta records remain available to review interest and contact applicants about the Goose beta. Authentication information restricts team administration, and security information helps prevent misuse and keep the website available.
We do not sell personal information. Messages and submissions are not published as testimonials or interviews without a separate agreement with you.
04. Providers and access
The website runs on hosting from Vercel, which also counts visits and measures page speed for us. Form submissions and newsletter signups are stored in a Neon-hosted Postgres database, abuse-prevention counters are kept in a Redis store, each new submission posts a private notification to the team’s Slack workspace, and consenting email addresses are synced to Loops, the service we use to send the newsletter and beta updates.
These providers process the information needed to operate, store, deliver, and secure the website, including the connection logs and backups they keep in the ordinary course of hosting. Form submissions are restricted to authorized team members. Published stories and media are public; private submissions are not.
05. Cookies and similar technologies
The public pages do not use advertising pixels or third-party video players. Fonts, photographs, and films are served from the website itself.
The website uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and completed contact and newsletter forms. It sets no cookies: a visit is recognized by a hash of the incoming request that Vercel discards after 24 hours, and each count records the page, the referring site, an approximate location, and the browser and device type. Form counts also note which form was used, whether you joined the newsletter, and the campaign source tag if you arrived through one. They never include your name, email address, phone number, or message. The website also uses Vercel Speed Insights to measure how quickly pages load; each measurement records the page, country, connection speed, and browser and device type, without cookies and without being tied to you or your IP address. Neither service measures team pages.
The website keeps two small values in your browser’s session storage, which your browser clears when the tab closes: any campaign tags from the link you arrived on, and which hero illustration you saw last, so the drawing varies. Neither is shared with anyone.
The hosting and sign-in services may set cookies needed for access, security, and authentication. Blocking those may prevent team sign-in; it does not affect reading the website.
The website has no advertising or cross-site tracking, so there is nothing to switch off in response to browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. If that ever changes, this notice will change first.
06. Storage and retention
Messages, newsletter signups, and beta records are stored on the server until they are no longer needed for the purposes above, or until you ask us to delete them. Authorized administrators can permanently delete any submission from the dashboard.
Abuse-prevention counters carry an expiry marker and are cleared during the ordinary operation of the forms. Copies of submitted information may persist for a limited time in provider backups and logs before they age out.
07. Your choices and requests
You can browse without submitting anything. Email us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of anything you have submitted, to withdraw permission for beta contact, or to leave the newsletter — and every marketing email we send will include an unsubscribe link. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights; write to us and we will honor the ones that apply.

08. Children and family information
Goose is being designed around family life, but this website’s forms are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Please keep children’s names, images, and details out of your messages — if a future program ever needs family information, it will ask through a separate, clearly explained process with its own permissions.
09. Changes to this notice
This notice took effect on September 23, 2026. If the website starts collecting something new or using information differently — analytics, a robot trial, anything — we will update this page first and change the date above.
